Collecting Systems
There are two different parts to the urine collecting system. One is used during the day, when you are active and there is a greater chance that you will leak larger quantities of urine. The other is used during periods of relative inactivity, particularly at bedtime, when there is reduced urine leakage.

The latex sheath used during the day is occlusive, however, the moisture is confined to the penile skin, sparing the groin. The overnight appliance, worn after the sheath is removed, permits the penile skin to recover from the daytime occlusion.
